Kirkland is home to lots of automobile enthusiasts, and home to Kirkland Waterfront Car Show every August, where thousands of classic car enthusiasts flock to see an amazing gathering of more than 300 cars on display and over 30 vendors.  The City is also poised to be a regional transit hub, with the planned construction of the 85th Street Station Area which plans for a walkable, equitable, sustainable, and complete transit-oriented neighborhood at 85th Street and the I405 Interchange.
